The African Festival 2024, held from December 28–30 at the Accra International Conference Centre, celebrated African heritage, culture, and art while addressing climate change under the theme “KINAKO! Feel Africa, Be the Change.”

The festival featured iconic performances from Sherifa Gunu, Yvonne Chakachaka, and others, alongside captivating theatre productions like Don Quixote Africa.

Interactive exhibits such as The Den of History emphasized sustainability and Africa’s cultural legacy.

The event also honored environmental trailblazers at the Africa Sustainability Awards.

Organized by Latif Abubakar and his team, the festival united attendees from Africa and the diaspora, fostering pride, advocacy, and collective action for a greener future.

It was more than an event—an inspiring movement celebrating African identity and resilience.
