Nigerian music icon Davido has boldly stated that he does not care about winning a Grammy, emphasizing that the prestigious award is not a measure of his talent or success.

“The Grammys is just an award, it’s not God. I don’t care about it at all,” he said.

He continued, "I’m not saying this because I didn’t win a Grammy, but even if I’m given one now, I wouldn’t accept it. We need to stop using the Grammys to rate talent.

Just do your music, and whether you win a Grammy or Headies award, it’s still okay."

Davido confidently proclaimed himself the “King of Afrobeats,” reaffirming that his legacy is already established, regardless of accolades.
