Gospel legend Esther Smith has backed Cwesi Oteng’s shocking revelation about spiritual attacks in the music industry, describing the gospel space as “pure evil.”
Her comments came after Cwesi revealed on Joy Prime’s Changes that his breakthrough album was taken to cemeteries in a bid to block his rise.
Esther, reacting via Facebook, disclosed she has also suffered similar spiritual sabotage.
“If you are genuine, they will fight you,” she wrote, adding that such attacks can affect one’s finances, health, and relationships.
She urged artists to pray continually. Cwesi had earlier recounted that his fresh style triggered envy and resistance from some gospel musicians.
While others demand he names those involved, voices like Esther’s suggest these spiritual battles are common but hidden in Ghana’s gospel scene.
