Ghanaian actor and producer Kwadwo Nkansah Lilwin has revealed an unexpected twist behind the casting of his latest movie, A Country Called Ghana.

Speaking on Lawson FM, Lilwin shared that Nigerian star Ramsey Nouah joined the project after plans to feature Ghanaian actor Van Vicker fell through at the last minute.

“Van Vicker disappointed us, so we quickly reached out to Ramsey Nouah,” he disclosed.

Bringing Nouah on board wasn’t easy, particularly financially. “I paid him an amount that could cover the fees of all Ghanaian stars combined—and still have some left,” Lilwin stated.

Despite the cost, he praised Nouah for elevating the film, saying his performance brought something extraordinary to the production.

A Country Called Ghana is a powerful exploration of patriotism, resilience, and cultural identity, reflecting the challenges of modern-day Ghana.
