Ghanaian media personality Oheneni Adazoa has announced her withdrawal from politics. She cited neglect and disappointment after the 2024 elections.
In an interview with Akoto Mansa on Asetena Pa, she expressed her disillusionment. Oheneni was once a passionate supporter of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
"They have used me," she said. "During Christmas, none of them gave me anything." She mentioned that Miracle Aboagye and others did not reach out during the festive season.
Oheneni campaigned extensively for the NPP before the elections. Despite her efforts, many in the party failed to show appreciation.
The only exception was Energy Minister Matthew Opoku Prempeh. He offered her a token of support during Christmas.
"It was Opoku Prempeh who only gave me something," she lamented. She emphasized that her frustration has reached a tipping point.
Oheneni vowed not to support future campaigns, especially for Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia. "I won’t campaign for Mahamudu Bawumia if he becomes the party’s flagbearer," she declared.
