‘This abuse is getting out of hand’ – Rita Edochie reacts to purported dead of Osita Iheme

Veteran Nollywood actress Rita Edochie has condemned recurring false death rumours about her colleague, Osita Iheme (Pawpaw).

She revealed encountering such rumours twice recently and expressed frustration that some fans believed the fake news, posting condolences online.

Edochie highlighted the broader issue of social media misuse, stating it causes more harm than good, despite its benefits for Nigerian youth.

She also recalled experiencing similar false reports about her own death, where a movie set photo was misused.

Edochie urged for responsible social media use, emphasizing that the spread of fake news, especially about celebrity deaths, is excessive and damaging.
