'This time if they don’t give us they hate us': Killbeatz says on King Promise winning 2025 TGMA AoTY

Legendary record producer Killbeatz supports singer King Promise. He believes King Promise deserves the Artiste of the Year (AoTY) award at this year’s Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMAs).

Killbeatz spoke during Richard Nii-Armah Quaye's 40th birthday celebration. King Promise performed at this event, showcasing his talent.

While on stage, King Promise claimed he is the only legitimate AoTY nominee. He mentioned, “I got nominated for Artiste of the Year as well.” He emphasized their hard work in Pidgin English, saying, “Nobody has worked more than us.”

King Promise expressed pride in representing Ghana globally. After his performance, he reiterated his belief to Joy News.

Killbeatz added, “This time if they don’t give us they hate us.” Last year, King Promise was a favorite but lost to Stonebwoy. This year, he faces competition from Stonebwoy and others like Black Sherif and Joe Mettle. However, many still see him and King Paluta as top contenders for the award.
