Two arrested for discharging firearms at funeral

The Western North Regional Police Command has arrested two people. They were caught for illegal possession and use of firearms at a funeral.

On Thursday, April 3, the police released a statement. The suspects are Frank Afoko, 41, and Kojo Agyapong, 31. They were arrested on April 2 at around 2:00 pm. The Police Intelligence Department and the Formed Police Unit made the arrests.

This follows an investigation into a viral video from March 14, 2025. The video showed people recklessly firing guns at a funeral in Attakrom, near Bibiani.

The police stated that the suspects fired weapons without lawful authority. Other individuals involved are still at large.

During questioning, both suspects admitted to being in the video. They are currently in police custody and assisting with further investigations.

Efforts continue to locate and arrest the remaining suspects.
