Renowned actor Val Kilmer has passed away at the age of 65 in Los Angeles, succumbing to pneumonia after his long recovery from throat cancer.

His daughter, Mercedes Kilmer, confirmed the news. Known for his deep commitment to roles, Kilmer rose to fame with Top Secret! and Real Genius before taking on iconic performances in Tombstone, Heat, and The Doors, where he fully immersed himself in character.

His portrayal of Batman in Batman Forever received mixed reviews, with Kilmer later describing the role as isolating.
