Video of Dada KD’s Last Performance Before His Death Surfaces
Ghanaian highlife singer Dada Kwaku Duah, known as Dada KD, died on May 16, 2025. A video of his last performance has surfaced on social media. He performed in Worcester, USA, at a funeral thanksgiving for Nana Boadi Antoh.
In the video, Dada KD sang "Odo Mu Anigye." The host and his wife danced along with others present. Many social media users expressed disbelief and sorrow over the loss of the highlife legend.
Dada KD wore all-white attire and a black hat during his performance. He was scheduled to perform in London soon and had visited the VFS office for a visa appointment just before his death.
His management reported that he was found restless at home around 4 PM. He was rushed to Gbawe Hospital but was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
Many Ghanaians mourned him online. Comments included tributes from fans who admired his music and legacy. One user wrote about life being unpredictable while another mentioned he might have battled depression.
Media personality Deloris Frimpong-Manso also paid tribute to him. She shared a video from an interview where he discussed family and music.
Dada KD's passing is a significant loss for the highlife community in Ghana.
