Volta Region has created its own superstars - Agbeshie

Ghanaian artiste Agbeshie has highlighted the rising influence of the Volta Region’s music scene, revealing that the area has cultivated its own stars after years of being overlooked by mainstream artistes.

Speaking on Daybreak Hitz with Andy Dosty, he said the region was once sidelined, but now boasts a vibrant music culture backed by loyal fans.

According to Agbeshie, many top artistes ignore Volta in their promotional tours, creating a gap that local talents have proudly filled.

“If you’re not coming, we’ll grow our own,” he stated, noting that artists like himself are now the main attractions.

He likened Volta’s evolution to the Northern Region’s support for acts like Fancy Gadam. Agbeshie is currently promoting his latest single, Alakpato, featuring Chief Wan.
