Volta Region has created its own superstars – Agbeshie

Ghanaian artist Agbeshie recently discussed the music industry in the Volta Region. He spoke during an interview on Daybreak Hitz with Andy Dosty.

Agbeshie noted that the region was often overlooked in the past. However, it has now produced its own superstars and a vibrant music scene. "I can boldly tell you that over time, the Volta Region has been isolated," he said.

He pointed out that many big artists ignore the Volta Region's music market. They do not include it in their promotional plans. "The last time I checked, I went to Takoradi to promote my songs," he explained.

Agbeshie believes local artists are thriving despite this neglect. "If you guys are not coming, no problem," he said. The people of Volta have decided to support their own superstars.

As a result, the region has developed a unique musical identity. Local artists like Agbeshie have become household names there. "When you come to Volta Region, they’re waiting for Agbeshie," he stated.

In addition, Agbeshie has released a new song titled ‘Alakpato’ featuring Chief Wan.
