Stonebwoy's public relations officer, Vida Adutwumwaa, has spoken about Ja Rule’s school project in Ghana. She shared her thoughts during an interview.
Vida acknowledged that Ghanaians appreciate Ja Rule’s gesture. However, she noted that expectations were higher due to his global status.
She said, “It’s not as if we don’t appreciate what he has done. But given Ja Rule's achievements in the music industry, people expect something monumental.”
Her comments follow mixed reactions from Ghanaians. Some expressed disappointment over the simplicity of the school structure he helped build.
Vida clarified that most criticism is not about ingratitude. It reflects a gap between expectations and reality.
She stated, “For those critiquing, it is not that they don’t appreciate the gesture.”
She added that with the reported budget, another contractor could have built something more modernized.
“I’m sure if they had given the job to another contractor, there would be improvements,” she concluded.
