We had an accident – Amakye Dede’s management reveals the cause of his poor performance in Kumasi

Legendary Ghanaian musician Amakye Dede was involved in a road accident on December 29, 2024, while traveling from Takoradi to Agona Swedru.

The accident occurred near Apam and Winneba around 1:50 AM.

Amakye Dede and his team were rushed to Winneba Hospital, receiving treatment from 2:00 AM to 6:00 AM.

Despite the ordeal, he proceeded to Kumasi for a scheduled performance but was unable to perform due to the strain.

His band performed in his stead, delivering a remarkable show.

The management expressed regret to fans and thanked them for their support while requesting time for recovery.

They assured fans of a strong comeback.
