Renowned actor and broadcaster Mikki Osei Berko has voiced concerns over declining standards in Ghana’s creative arts industry, particularly in broadcasting, journalism, and filmmaking.
Speaking on YM, he noted the shift away from mentorship and formal training, which were crucial during his era.
Osei Berko reflected on learning from legends like Tommy Annan Forson and Kwame Sefa Kayi, contrasting this with younger professionals who rely heavily on technology but neglect guidance.
While acknowledging the benefits of digital tools, he warned that quality suffers without proper training.
He urged the younger generation to seek mentorship and blend innovation with experience to ensure professionalism and excellence in the industry.
