Radio personality Blakk Rasta has compared Richard Nii Armah Quaye’s lavish birthday party to the downfall of businessman Nana Appiah Mensah, known as NAM1.
On his show, Blakk Rasta questioned how Quaye acquired his wealth. He warned that Ghana has seen similar displays before, which ended badly.
“We saw this with NAM1, throwing money on the streets. Where is he now? His business collapsed. We must ask questions about this money,” he said.
Quaye’s birthday celebration lasted several days at Independence Square. It featured international celebrities flown in for the event. While some defend his spending, Blakk Rasta believes such displays deserve scrutiny in tough economic times.
He also criticized some religious leaders, claiming they use churches for money laundering.
“Many so-called pastors are not real pastors; they are businesspeople cleaning dirty money,” he stated.
Richard Nii Armah Quaye has not yet responded to these concerns. Blakk Rasta urges authorities to take action.
“The FIC must do its job. GRA, please step in! We want to know how people make millions overnight!” he urged.
