Wendy Shay surprises student fan at school and promises scholarship

Popular artist Wendy Shay has made a young girl very happy. Tracy Shay recently gained fame online after a video of her dancing went viral. The video showed her dancing to Wendy Shay’s hit song "Too Late." It was filmed during a performance at Ridoana School Complex on March 29, 2025.

Many people enjoyed the joyful spirit of the clip. However, some social media users made unkind comments about Tracy. Wendy Shay quickly defended Tracy and offered words of encouragement. She publicly condemned the negative criticism.

On April 9, 2025, Wendy surprised Tracy by visiting her school. The students and staff were thrilled to see her. A video captured the emotional moment when Wendy promised to sponsor Tracy’s education through university. She also gave Tracy an undisclosed amount of money, which moved both Tracy and her mother, Barbara Oteng.

“I’m truly grateful and overwhelmed by this act of kindness,” said Barbara, fighting back tears.

In addition to the scholarship and money, Wendy donated school supplies and refreshments for Tracy's classmates. This reinforces her commitment to supporting education and uplifting young lives.
