Veteran musician Rex Omar believes success for emerging artists depends on music quality. He stated, “When the music is good, the rest is just marketing.”
Speaking on Metro TV’s Entertainment Review, he emphasized that poor music cannot be fixed by marketing. Great songs naturally promote themselves.
Omar encouraged new talents to focus on refining their sound and lyrics. He warned against getting distracted by social media trends or seeking quick fame.
“You can’t build a sustainable career if your foundation is weak,” he said. In music, the foundation is the music itself.
He believes quality music will always find its audience. Marketing simply amplifies what resonates with listeners.
