Why Kid Cudi and Michael B. Jordan came up during jury selection at the Sean Combs trial

Jury selection continues in the federal trial of Sean “Diddy” Combs.

Several familiar names have come up in court. Prospective jurors reviewed a list of people and places relevant to the trial.

Among those mentioned were actor Michael B. Jordan, rapper Kid Cudi, comedian Mike Myers, rapper Yung Miami, Kanye West, and Combs’ ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura.

Jordan is currently starring in “Sinners.” A source told CNN he will not testify during the trial. His name appeared on the jury list because he was referenced in Ventura’s 2023 lawsuit against Combs.

In her complaint, Ventura claimed she had a flirtatious relationship with an actor during a break from Combs in 2015. CNN has learned that this actor was Jordan. She alleged that after spending New Year's Eve with him, Combs threatened Jordan.

A representative for Jordan did not respond to CNN's request for comment.
