A distraught market woman who lost all her belongings in the Kantamanto Market fire has tearfully appealed to dancehall star Shatta Wale for financial assistance.

In a viral video sighted by Virgin Blogger, the woman expressed her admiration for the musician, referring to him as a son and hoping he would help her rebuild her livelihood.

The fire, which broke out on January 2, 2025, at around 1 a.m., devastated the market, destroying goods and displacing hundreds of traders who rely on it for survival.

The Ghana National Fire Service deployed 13 fire trucks to battle the blaze, cutting power in the area for safety.

While the cause remains unknown, the incident has left many traders in despair, prompting public appeals for support and assistance.
