You’re just making noise at midnight—Captain Smart slams Alpha Hour

Ghanaian broadcaster Captain Smart has criticized the popular midnight prayer initiative, Alpha Hour, labeling it a wasteful and noisy routine.

During a recent broadcast, he argued that participants engage in loud prayers without clarity or purpose, saying, “They’re simply making noise and wasting their time.”

While affirming his belief in prayer, Smart insisted that the practice of praying late at night drains people physically and spiritually without yielding practical results.

“There’s a time for everything,” he noted, suggesting that such activities disturb rest and do not translate into meaningful change.

According to him, God is not moved by noise but by understanding and purpose.

Smart urged Christians to reconsider the midnight sessions, not out of disdain for prayer, but from concern for their health and effectiveness.
