On the first anniversary of actor Junior Pope Odonwodo's passing, his widow, Jennifer Odonwodo, shared a heartfelt tribute on social media.
In her emotional post, Jennifer reflected on how deeply his loss affected their family. She expressed gratitude for the support they received during their grief.
“It’s been one year of facing our unimaginable loss,” she wrote. “Not a day goes by without thinking of you.”
“Your love surrounds us, your laughter echoes in our hearts,” she continued. “We feel your presence in quiet moments when we miss you most.”
Jennifer spoke openly about the challenges of moving forward without Junior Pope. This is especially hard for their young sons: Jason, Jaden, and Jamon.
“The grief remains heavy,” she said. “The absence left a void that words cannot fill.”
“Through it all, we look up for strength from heaven as our guiding light,” she added.
She also shared the difficult moments of comforting their children. They often ask about promises made by their father.
“I struggle to find the right words for Jason and Jaden,” she explained. “They want to know if Daddy will take them to football academy.”
“They said he wouldn’t miss it for anything in the world.”
Their youngest son, Jamon, continues to ask about a big toy car promised by his father.
“The littlest one keeps asking when Daddy will bring him the car,” Jennifer shared sadly.
Jennifer thanked everyone who supported them during this tough time. “We appreciate everyone who sympathized with us and stood by us,” she wrote.
“Words cannot express our heartfelt gratitude for your love and support.”
In her final tribute to Junior Pope, Jennifer said he left behind many who loved him and his work.
“It is difficult to say these words but continue to rest in peace,” she wrote. “You will always be in our hearts and thoughts.”
Jennifer concluded with a message of hope and faith: “Though you’re no longer by our side, you live on in every memory.”
“We shall carry you with us until we meet again. May Your Soul Rest In Perfect Peace My Love.”
