Hon. Yussif Issaka Jajah, MP for Ayawaso North, has been appointed as the Deputy Minister of Tourism, Culture, and Creative Arts.
He takes over from Mark Okraku-Mantey and will serve under Minister Abla Dzifa Gomashie.
Born in Bole, Savannah Region, Jajah holds an MBA in International Oil and Gas Management from the University of Dundee and a BSc in Accounting from UPSA.
He is also a Chartered Accountant.
Before his appointment, there were debates on whether the deputy ministerial position should be scrapped, with some advocating for industry figures like Rex Omar and Baba Sadiq.
However, Jajah, a former Research Fellow and Oil & Gas Consultant, now steps into the role to help drive the sector’s growth.
