Ayisha Modi Criticizes Ex-Husband Abass Sariki: “He’s a Nobody”
Ayisha Modi has reignited discussions about her marriage to Abass Sariki Giwa. Their relationship ended in 2023, and she is now speaking out against him.
In a recent video, Ayisha advised Ghanaians not to support Abass Sariki. The video has gained significant attention on social media as people react to their failed marriage.
Ayisha referred to Abass as a "nobody." She claims he is not who he pretends to be. He started his career in Accra as a 'landguard' before becoming well-known.
In 2024, he was made a sub-chief in Okuapeman, despite not being from the area. His representative stated that he has helped many youths and established businesses there.
Despite this recognition, Ayisha insists that her family made him who he is today. "My uncles enstooled him as a chief," she said. "His power is beneath me."
This statement contradicts what many believe about Abass Sariki. He is regarded by stars like Shatta Wale as one of Ghana's powerful figures.
What led to their separation? Ayisha and Abass were once popular but split dramatically in 2023. After their breakup, Abass denied knowing her publicly.
He expressed his feelings in an interview, saying, "She is not my wife! I can’t ever marry her." He urged her to stop mentioning his name and claimed it embarrassed him.
Ayisha revealed it took her six to seven months to accept his marriage proposal because it felt sudden. She reportedly married someone new in Ghana but keeps details private.
In another incident, Ayisha lost someone she called her son over a land dispute. Nii Adotey was shot and killed due to this controversial deal involving her.
Before his death, Nii left a note stating his life was in danger. Ayisha mourned him on social media and warned those involved in the crime.
