Empress Gifty Files GH₵20 Million Defamation Lawsuit Against Agradaa

Ghanaian gospel musician Empress Gifty has filed a defamation lawsuit. She is suing controversial televangelist Patricia Asiedua, known as Agradaa or Mama Pat. This follows their recent feud.

On May 21, 2025, Empress Gifty's husband, Hopeson Adorye, shared the legal documents on Facebook. The writ of summons was filed at the Accra High Court. Agradaa must respond within eight days of being notified.

If she fails to respond, a judgment may be made without her presence. Empress Gifty is seeking GH₵20 million for damages due to alleged slander and libel.

Additionally, she wants a court order to stop Agradaa from making further defamatory remarks. Empress Gifty also requests that Agradaa remove all related videos and audios from her social media accounts. Lastly, she seeks compensation for her legal costs and attorney fees.
