**Kennedy Agyapong Visits Kantamanto Market After Returning to Ghana**

On March 28, 2025, Kennedy Agyapong visited the Kantamanto market. This was after his recent return from the US. He spoke to traders affected by a fire on January 3, 2025.

Agyapong pledged to donate GH₵100,000 and 200 streetlights. He also promised additional relief items for the traders. Many traders welcomed him warmly as he arrived.

During his visit, Agyapong addressed the losses caused by the fire. About 100 shops were destroyed in that incident. He aimed to support their recovery efforts with his donations.

Some traders thanked Agyapong for his generous offer. However, they expressed concerns about giving money to their leaders. They felt their leaders could not be trusted with such a large donation.

Agyapong assured them he would consult local officials for help. He mentioned working with John Abdulai Jinapor for electricity poles at the market.

The fire had a significant impact on many traders' livelihoods. Notable figures like former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia also donated to support victims.

President John Dramani Mahama and Vice President Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang visited the market too. They offered condolences to those affected by the fire.
