Black Star Experience Launch: Stylish Outfits Shine at Event
On May 1, 2025, President John Dramani Mahama launched the Black Star Experience. This event took place at the Freedom & Justice Monument in Accra. The initiative aims to make Ghana a top cultural tourism destination in Africa.
The Black Star Experience will celebrate Ghana's creative industry and cultural legacy annually. It will feature street carnivals, movie weeks, fashion shows, and more. These events will provide immersive experiences for both locals and tourists.
Rex Omar, a presidential staffer for the initiative, spoke at the launch. He wore a dapper white outfit and leather shoes. Rex emphasized that this program is led by the President of Ghana.
He explained that it will rebrand Ghana as a global hub for cultural tourism. The initiative aims to showcase the country's rich culture and arts.
Farida Mahama attended the event in an elegant white outfit. She turned heads with her long straight hairstyle and designer bag. President Mahama also looked stylish in a long-sleeve kaftan.
Joyce Bawah wore an African print dress that highlighted her beauty. She is a Presidential Advisor to President Mahama. Mrs. Maame Efua Houadjeto chose a simple yet colorful outfit for the occasion.
Kafui Danku stood out in her glittering ombre kente ensemble. She wore a three-quarter-sleeved top paired with a long kente skirt.
Earlier, Rex Omar encouraged musicians to focus on local awards like TGMAs. He believes international awards do not cater to Ghanaian talent effectively.
