Ghanaian gospel musician Celestine Donkor recently shared a cooking tutorial. She demonstrated how to prepare okra stew in a viral Instagram video.

In the video, she dressed casually and showcased the ingredients needed for the dish. While cooking, she engaged her fans by dancing and explaining the process.

One of her followers, Wendy Glory Official, offered tips on making slimy okra stew. She noted that professional chefs usually do not cover the saucepan while cooking.

Wendy's comment sparked mixed reactions among viewers. Some praised her advice, while others defended Celestine Donkor.

Ingredients for Okra Soup:
- 3 tablespoons palm oil
- Momoni (optional)
- 1 medium onion (chopped or blended)
- Habaneros and kpakposhito peppers
- 2 tablespoons smoked shrimp powder
- 3 small dried herrings (bones removed)
- 4 medium crabs (cleaned)
- ½ medium smoked mackerel (cut into chunks)
- A handful of cleaned clams without shells
- Fresh or dried shrimp (peeled and deveined)
- 6 medium fingers of okra (grated or chopped)

How to Prepare Okra Stew:
1. Wash and grate the okra.
2. Boil the okra and set aside.
3. Blend washed onion, turkey berries, green pepper, and dried fish together.
4. In a saucepan, heat palm oil with chopped onions and salted tilapia over medium heat.
5. Add blended mixture and boiled okra; cook for five minutes before serving with banku.

Celestine Donkor also collaborated with Diana Hamilton on a new song promoting their native dialects. They looked stylish in matching outfits during their appearance.

Earlier this month, Celestine Donkor announced plans to support DJ Awana's children's education after his passing in April 2025 due to illness.
