2025 TGMAs: Yaw Sarpong Receives Lifetime Achievement Award

Ghanaian gospel musician Yaw Sarpong was honored at the 2025 Telecel Ghana Music Awards. The event took place on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre.

Despite his health issues, Sarpong received the Lifetime Achievement Award. This award recognizes his significant contributions to gospel music over many decades.

His bandmate and close friend, Maame Tiwaa, accepted the award on his behalf. She thanked Ghanaians for their support and shared an update on Sarpong's health. Tiwaa reported that he is recovering well after being bedridden for months.
