"He doesn't need invitation": Michael Afranie on Agya Koo's Ashantifest absence

Michael Afranie Comments on Agya Koo's Absence at AshantiFest

Michael Afranie recently spoke about Agya Koo's absence from the Ashanti Festival. He shared his thoughts in a video. Afranie said Agya Koo did not need a special invitation to attend. He noted that Agya Koo lives in the Ashanti Region.

Afranie suggested that Agya Koo might be feeling guilty for supporting the NPP. He dismissed claims that prominent Kumawood actors were excluded due to their political affiliations. Afranie explained that he and his colleagues are part of a Kumawood All Stars group. This group usually performs on platforms like Adom TV.

He mentioned that they decided to participate in AshantiFest and perform a drama play. Afranie pointed out that Agya Koo should have attended without needing an invitation. He stated, "If you live in the Ashanti Region, we do not need to send you any invitation."

The veteran actor emphasized that organizers were not selective about attendees. He clarified there were no personal issues preventing Agya Koo from joining them. If he had come, he would have been welcomed by everyone.

Afranie also noted that Agya Koo could have acted or performed at the festival without facing resistance. He speculated that Agya Koo's guilt over being an outspoken NPP supporter influenced his decision not to attend.

As a supporter of the NDC, Afranie highlighted political divisions in the Ashanti Region. He urged people not to let politics create enmity among them.

Social media users reacted to Afranie's comments about Agya Koo. Some supported him while others criticized his remarks as politicizing the event.

In another story, Agya Koo expressed concerns about developmental issues in his community. He called for unity among Ghanaians to demand accountability from leaders.
