Black Sherif Plans to Expand into Film and Fashion
Ghanaian musician Black Sherif has exciting plans for his future. He wants to explore fashion and movies alongside his music career.
In a recent interview with Clash Magazine, he shared his vision. Black Sherif aims to become a versatile artist beyond just music. He expressed interest in writing soundtracks for films.
“I want to explore fashion,” he said. “I’m trying to take the music to a different space.” He added that he wants to create clothes and even paint.
Currently, Black Sherif is on a European tour promoting his album, *Iron Boy*. The album's title honors Ghanaian highlife legend Amakye Dede, who released a project with the same name.
The title also symbolizes resilience and strength, themes present throughout the album. Reflecting on his rise to fame, Black Sherif recalled remixing a song with Burna Boy while still in university.
“It’s very crazy,” he noted about this experience. “I want to be 30 and perform real art.” He mentioned that he is still learning as an artist.
Black Sherif also shared his hopes for future collaborations. He named Doja Cat and Saint JHN as artists he'd like to work with next.
Earlier, he discussed life outside of music during an interview on the Afro Select Show. If not for music, he would have sold clothing or worked with his father.
His father runs a family business selling auto parts like engines.
