"Her mum's not letting her focus on school": Agya Koo speaks on daughter's music

**Agya Koo Responds to Daughter's Claims About Music Support**

Agya Koo, a veteran Kumawood actor, addressed his daughter Maame Brago's claims. She alleged that he was not supportive of her music career. In a video, Agya Koo explained that she never informed him about her interest in music.

He emphasized that he supports her but wants her to focus on education first. Agya Koo believes it is important for her to progress in life before pursuing music.

In an interview with One Ghana TV, he dismissed the claims of being unsupportive. He praised Maame Brago's intelligence and noted her strong English skills. He mentioned that she had shown interest in music for years.

When he learned about it, he warned her mother against it. Agya Koo stated, "It is not like I do not support her because she is a girl." He expressed concern for her education and future.

He also revealed that Maame Brago’s mother kept her musical interests from him. She took their daughter to events without his knowledge. Agya Koo said he could have helped if he had known earlier.

He reiterated that he wanted Maame Brago to finish school with good grades. As she approaches 17, he believes education should be a priority.

Agya Koo maintains a close relationship with his daughter and often advises her on career choices. He has even consulted her teachers about adding subjects to her studies.

However, Maame Brago’s mother disagreed with the subjects offered at school. Recently, Maame Brago claimed in an interview that Agya Koo opposed her entering the entertainment industry.

She mentioned that her stepfather was more supportive of her passion than Agya Koo.

Earlier this year, Agya Koo also spoke out about poor road conditions in Akyem Edubiase during a trip. He urged authorities to address the issues for driver safety.
