"Honourable dey work": Dumelo clears gutters with BuzStop Boys, donates GH₵10k

**John Dumelo Joins Wode Maya and BuzStop Boys for Cleanup at Okponglo**

On March 31, 2025, John Dumelo participated in a cleanup exercise at Okponglo. He joined popular YouTuber Wode Maya and the BuzStop Boys. The event aimed to clear clogged gutters that hindered water flow.

In a video shared on X (formerly Twitter), Dumelo was seen using a shovel. He removed sand from the gutters and placed it into a pan. Additionally, he donated GH₵10,000 to help with the clearance fee for a new mini excavator.

As the MP for Ayawaso West Wuogon, Dumelo is committed to local development issues. Recently, he addressed traffic problems at Okponglo Junction by installing traffic signal controllers.

The cleanup initiative was part of Eid al-Fitr celebrations in Ghana. The BuzStop Boys have organized several similar events across the country since their formation over a year ago.

They previously collaborated with actress Nana Ama McBrown during cleanups. She helped remove waste from clogged gutters while promoting sanitation awareness among Ghanaians.

The BuzStop Boys have received praise from many notable figures in Ghana. In June 2024, Shatta Wale surprised them with a GH₵30,000 cheque during a cleanup in Alajo.

President John Mahama also supported their efforts with a donation of GH₵50,000 last year.

Social media users reacted positively to Dumelo's participation in the cleanup. Comments included praise for his dedication as an MP and hopes for continued community involvement.

Earlier this month, Dumelo addressed damage caused by rainfall at A&C Mall in East Legon. He visited affected communities and discussed support options for those impacted by the storm.
