"Hypocrite": GH lady accuses Stonebwoy of unfollowing her after choosing Shatta

**Ghanaian Lady Claims Stonebwoy Unfollowed Her After Suggesting Shatta Wale for Remix**

A Ghanaian lady has accused Stonebwoy of unfollowing her. This happened after she suggested Shatta Wale for a remix of Moliy's hit song. She claims the dancehall musician unfollowed her shortly after her suggestion. Additionally, she said Stonebwoy's creative director messaged her to "school" her.

The lady, Ohemaa Asante, wanted to promote Ghanaian music internationally. She made a video proposing a local remix since the song had Jamaican versions. The producers responded that no Ghanaian artist had shown interest but were open to suggestions. They asked Asante to recommend an artist, and she chose Shatta Wale.

Asante explained that her choice was strategic. Shatta Wale recently performed with Vybz Kartel in Jamaica and was preparing for a concert in London. She believed his popularity would benefit the song.

After her suggestion, Asante alleged that Stonebwoy unfollowed her on social media. His creative director then sent her a message trying to educate her about the situation. She accused his team of hypocrisy and insisted she was not taking sides.

Meanwhile, "Shake It to the Max" has been nominated for Best Reggae/Dancehall Song at the 2025 Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA). It will compete against several other songs by various artists.

Moliy gained international fame with "Sad Girls Luv Money," featuring Amaarae and Kali Uchis. That song debuted at number 80 on the US Billboard Hot 100.

Social media users reacted to the drama between Ohemaa Asante and Stonebwoy. One user commented that Asante's statements were confusing and unnecessary. Another questioned why someone unfollowing could be such an issue.

Some users expressed hope for collaboration between Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale in the future. They believe it could elevate Ghanaian music globally.

Recently, Stonebwoy performed at Richard Nii Quaye's birthday party, entertaining guests there as well.
