Shatta Wale Apologizes to Bullgod Over 2022 Allegations
Shatta Wale has publicly apologized to Bullgod. This comes after controversial remarks he made in November 2022.
The dancehall musician clarified that his statements were misunderstood. He had alleged that Bulldog confessed to involvement in Fennec Okyere's murder. Shatta Wale retracted these allegations, stating he never implied Bullgod was involved.
In a statement shared on Facebook, Shatta Wale addressed the issue. He apologized for suggesting Bullgod's involvement in the 2014 murder of Fennec Okyere. Fennec was a former manager of rapper Kwaw Kese.
Shatta Wale acknowledged that his social media posts were misconstrued. He also mentioned that his comments suggested immorality about Bullgod and other personalities.
This apology comes three years after Bullgod filed a defamation lawsuit against Shatta Wale. The lawsuit included statements made in deleted Facebook posts involving former presidents John Mahama and Nana Akufo-Addo.
Social media users reacted to Shatta Wale's apology with mixed feelings. Some praised him for doing the right thing, while others criticized his past behavior.
Desmond Costavo Guilherm advised him to handle issues better next time. Francis Kofi Bio expressed respect for the apology, saying it was better late than never.
Xis Holmes pointed out ongoing support for Shatta Wale’s past actions. Sam Excelz urged him to apologize to others he has disrespected as well.
Earlier, journalist Nana Kwadwo Jantuah threatened legal action over another incident involving Suzzy Pinamang's shooting. He criticized authorities for not addressing her condition seriously.
If they fail to act, he plans to take them to court.
