Sarkodie Jokes About Being Broke: “I Am Left With GH¢3,850 To Get GH¢25,000”
Ghanaian musician Michael Owusu Addo, known as Sarkodie, shared his bank balance on X. He made a sarcastic comment in response to Bishop Samuel Owusu. The bishop is the head pastor of Pottersville Church International.
Bishop Owusu claimed that 25-year-olds should have at least GH¢25,000 in their accounts. Sarkodie replied that he only has GH¢3,850 left to reach that amount. This exchange happened during an interview on Onua TV on May 1, 2025.
Sarkodie is a 39-year-old rapper and father of two. He explained that despite his fame and music gigs, he still needs to work harder for money.
After revealing his balance, some Ghanaians offered to help him financially. Comments included jokes about investing money instead of keeping it in the bank.
One user joked about owing money with no bank account. Others asked for his mobile money number to send him cash.
Sarkodie's hairstyle has also changed recently. He debuted a short haircut at an event and received positive attention for it.
