Kelvynboy Struggles to Reconcile with Stonebwoy After Five Years
Afrobeats star Kelvynboy is trying to reconcile with his former mentor, Stonebwoy. He has been working on this for five years but has received no response.
Kelvynboy, whose real name is Kelvin Brown, was once signed to Stonebwoy's Burniton Music Group. He left the label in 2019, which led to a public fallout. This conflict resulted in the dismissal of Stonebwoy's then-manager, Blakk Cedi.
In a recent interview on Hitz FM's Daybreak Hitz, Kelvynboy expressed his desire to mend their relationship. He mentioned that he could hardly remember why they fell out. "I've been trying to make peace with Stonebwoy for five years now," he said.
Despite the silence from Stonebwoy, Kelvynboy still respects him greatly. He remains open to resolving their issues and moving past the tension.
Music journalist Gabriel Myers Hansen praised Kelvynboy’s efforts during an interview with YEN.com.gh. He believes that their feud is unnecessary since they attract different audiences.
Hansen emphasized that it would be appropriate for them to at least communicate again. "It is now up to Stonebwoy to reciprocate," he noted.
Meanwhile, Stonebwoy recently attended a panel discussion at Howard University in Washington, D.C., invited by Warner Music. Footage of his arrival and interactions with students circulated on social media.
