Ayisha Modi Removes Stonebwoy's Name from Social Media, Shares Support for Yaw Sarpong
Ayisha Modi recently discussed her support for musician Yaw Sarpong. This happened during a TikTok live session on May 16. She shared her experience financing his recovery after a serious accident in 2020.
The accident occurred on the Kumasi highway. It left Yaw Sarpong's backing vocalist, Maame Tiwaa, and another team member injured. Maame Tiwaa had to undergo multiple surgeries due to her injuries.
During the TikTok interaction, Yaw Sarpong confirmed that Ayisha helped him financially. She provided GH₵2,000 for his hospital bills. Since the accident, he has faced various health issues, including a stroke last year.
Due to these health problems, he could not record or perform with his band. His family publicly appealed for funds to cover his medical expenses. Many benefactors have since contributed to support his recovery.
