Scanty, also known as Redeemer Acquah, is a popular online star in Ghana. He recently shared his difficult life story. Scanty lost his father when he was just 10 years old. He later lost his elder sister during his teenage years. His interview has gained significant attention on social media.

In a recent episode of the Konnected Minds podcast, Scanty spoke with Derrick Abaitey. He discussed how losing family members shaped his life. Scanty's birth story is quite unusual; he was named by a doctor after being pronounced dead at birth.

He explained, "When I was born, I was dead." However, an unexpected miracle brought him back to life. "I shook my left hand while they were taking me away," he recalled. The doctor then told his mother that her "redeemer is alive."

Despite surviving death at birth, Scanty's challenges continued. His family faced financial struggles after losing their father. "At one point, we struggled to get 20 pesewas for water," he said. His father had been a top executive at Coca-Cola.

These hardships motivated Scanty to become a successful content creator. Last year, he launched his YouTube channel called Scanty Explores. He quickly gained about 20,000 followers and received 80,000 views on his first video.

Scanty's colleagues and boss Kwadwo Sheldon have praised his dedication to work. "My family looks up to me," he stated firmly. "I don’t joke with my life or misbehave."

Earlier reports highlighted Scanty's gratitude towards Kwadwo Sheldon for helping pay medical bills for his sick mother. In a heartfelt video, Scanty described Sheldon as one of the most selfless bosses he's ever had.

This support from Sheldon has deeply moved him and strengthened their bond in the workplace.
