"If you can take us back to 2007, e go be me": Van Vicker appeals to Mahama

Van Vicker Praises President Mahama for Cedi Appreciation

Van Vicker recently praised President John Dramani Mahama. He commended the cedi's appreciation against the dollar in a social media post.

The actor expressed his excitement about the cedi's strengthening since Mahama returned to office. He urged the president to keep improving the currency's performance.

Van Vicker also addressed Ghanaians abroad who were unhappy with this positive change. He questioned their mindset, calling it narcissistic.

He expressed a desire for the cedi to return to its 2007 rate. Van Vicker clarified that his praise was not political but an acknowledgment of progress.

In his post, he congratulated Mahama on the cedi's strength and encouraged him to continue his efforts. He noted that some Ghanaians living abroad were not pleased due to the dollar's decline.

He stated, "I think the current cedis orbit is remarkable for Ghana." Van Vicker emphasized that credit should be given where it's due.

Social media users reacted to his comments. Some suggested he should enter politics directly, while others supported Mahama as a leader for Ghana’s future.

Earlier, musician Kuami Eugene also commented on the cedi’s appreciation. He expressed concerns about how it might affect dollar reserves despite being happy with recent gains.
