Lil Win Puts Ibrahim Traore Movie Up for Sale After Rejecting $20k Bribe
Kumawood actor Kwadwo Nkansah, known as Lil Win, is selling his movie. The film is titled *Ibrahim Traore: The Last African Hero*. It tells the story of a famous Burkinabe coup leader.
Lil Win invited local TV stations to buy airing rights. He wants them to approach him for exclusive rights. He is asking for Gh₵ 100,000 from each channel.
In a recent video, he urged all Ghanaian TV stations to participate. He needs only four channels to buy the rights first. After that, he will sell to other stations and share it on YouTube.
This announcement follows Lil Win's refusal of a $20,000 bribe. A prominent Ghanaian offered him money to stop production of the movie. Lil Win declined because he believes in its importance.
He shared that an unknown man approached him with the offer. The man claimed his boss wanted Lil Win to halt the project. He also promised gifts for Lil Win and his crew if they complied.
Lil Win continues promoting the movie ahead of its premiere date. He recently showed a glimpse of his character in a viral video. However, he mispronounced Traore's name, leading to online reactions.
Earlier, Lil Win warned TV stations against airing his movies without permission. He criticized their practice of showing films without paying for rights. He believes they should support local filmmakers instead of foreign shows.
Lil Win threatened legal action against any station that pirates his work.
