**Business Mogul Sam Jonah Donates Office Building to Ghana Armed Forces**
Businessman Sir Sam Jonah has donated a fully-furnished office building. This building is for the Ghana Armed Forces' Pay Regiment. It was sponsored through his company, Mobus Property. The building was recently commissioned and dedicated to Lt Col (rtd) Ababio Serebour.
Corporate leaders and military officials attended the commissioning event. The new office block honors Lieutenant Colonel Ababio Serebour, a key figure in the regiment's development. Sir Sam Jonah led the commissioning on March 21, 2025. He was joined by Kojo Ansah, CEO of Mobus Properties, and Colonel Michael Adusei Nkrumah.
Colonel Nkrumah praised Sam Jonah and Kojo Ansah for their support. He noted that Mobus Property responded to a call for help. They mobilized staff to construct the building at no cost. The project took ten months and replaced an old wooden structure.
Colonel Nkrumah acknowledged Lt Col Serebour's significant contributions. He highlighted Serebour's 2006 initiative that created the Remittance Group for military personnel.
Kojo Ansah emphasized corporate social responsibility during his speech. He quoted former US President John F. Kennedy about serving one's country. He urged corporate leaders to invest in meaningful projects beyond profits.
Lt Col (rtd) Serebour expressed gratitude in his keynote address. He encouraged leaders to prioritize service and inspire their teams.
The new office block represents a partnership between private companies and military development. It shows commitment to supporting Ghana's armed forces.
After speeches, attendees prayed over the building, dedicating it to God. Regimental personnel entertained guests with morale-boosting songs during the event.
High-ranking military officials were present, including Brigadier General Salifu Osumanu, Controller of Defence Finance. Members of the clergy also attended alongside military personnel.
In related news, President John Dramani Mahama made changes in GAF leadership recently. Brigadier General William Agyapong is now Chief of Defence Staff, while Brigadier General Lawrence Kwaku Gbetanu is Chief of Army Staff.
