"It will come back today": Dumelo gives exciting update on dumsor in Westland

**John Dumelo Updates Residents on Power Outage in Ayawaso West Wuogon**

John Dumelo has provided an update on power issues in Ayawaso West Wuogon. The problems arose after heavy rain on March 25, 2025. This storm damaged power lines in the Westland region.

Dumelo assured residents that power would be restored by Thursday evening, March 27, 2025. He mentioned that the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) is working to resolve the issue.

The rainstorm caused significant damage across Accra. Areas affected include Adenta, Madina, Legon, and East Legon. One major incident involved the collapse of a car park at A&C Mall, crushing over 80 vehicles.

Strong winds also uprooted trees and knocked down billboards throughout the city. This led to roadblocks and heavy traffic. Some schools were damaged as well; a tree fell on the administration block of Accra College of Education.

In Kotobabi, a tree fell onto a vehicle near a police station, injuring one person. Officials from NADMO and the Ghana Police quickly responded to clear debris and ensure safety.

Dumelo, who is also Deputy Agriculture Minister, expressed his support for constituents in a video message.

Social media users reacted positively to Dumelo's update. Comments included requests for improvements to street lights and permanent solutions for frequent outages during rainstorms.

Meanwhile, a Tesla Cybertruck survived the A&C Mall collapse without damage. Videos showing the intact vehicle circulated widely online after the incident.
