**Agya Koo Shares His Journey from Shoemaker to Stardom**
Agya Koo recently shared his story about rising to fame. He is a well-known Kumawood actor in Ghana. In an interview, he reflected on his early days as a shoemaker in Accra.
He started shoemaking to survive and support himself. This job introduced him to many wealthy clients in Accra. Agya Koo recalled a time when a client saved him from a dangerous situation involving Dr. Berkeley, an alleged occultist.
Dr. Berkeley was arrested in 1994 with school uniforms and human skulls at his home in Fadama, Accra.
**His Early Career with Santo and Judas**
Agya Koo began his career in the early 90s. He gained fame through the comedy show Key Soap Concert Party, where he got his stage name. He has acted in over 200 Ghanaian movies alongside stars like Nana Ama McBrown.
He experienced the golden age of Kumawood with legends Bob Santo and Abusuapanin Judas. Agya Koo lived near Santo and Judas in Kasoa while they rented apartments.
He humorously recalled how Judas teased him about living in a wooden structure instead of a proper home.
**Belief in Better Days**
Despite challenges, Agya Koo always believed things would improve. Today, he owns a mansion in Kumasi.
**Bond with Akrobeto**
Agya Koo also discussed his close relationship with fellow actor Akrobeto. He convinced Akrobeto to leave Europe for the Kumawood industry. Their first movie together became an instant hit, boosting Akrobeto's popularity significantly.
