**Sharaf Mahama Serves Meals in Asawase for Iftar**

On March 27, 2025, Sharaf Mahama joined MP Muntaka Mubarak in Asawase. They helped the Muslim community prepare for Iftar meals after fasting. The president's son shared hot meals and addressed the attendees ahead of Eid.

Sharaf Mahama was seen serving meals to Muslims in Asawase. He organized this event through his foundation with support from MP Muntaka Mubarak. This initiative aligns with his father's vision as president.

Iftar is the meal Muslims enjoy at sunset during Ramadan. It occurs when the adhan calls for Maghrib prayer. In a video, Sharaf was seen handing out packed meals, impressing both beneficiaries and social media users.

During the event, he spoke in Twi and English. He expressed hopes that Allah would accept their prayers during Ramadan's final days. He thanked the Ashanti Regional Chief Imam and MP Muntaka Mubarak for their support.

Recently, some traders rejected food donations from Muntaka Mubarak after a fire incident at Adum PZ. They prioritized rebuilding their businesses over accepting food items.

Reactions to Sharaf's donation were mixed on social media. Some praised him for following in his father's footsteps while others compared him to different political figures.

Earlier, Malik Basintale, head of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA), also made headlines by gifting bags to Muslim staff members during Iftar. While many appreciated his gesture, some noted he did not join them for Maghrib prayers.
