Dr. Osei Kwame Despite attended a funeral service in Tanoso. He was with members of the East Legon Executive Fitness Club. A video showed him trying to maneuver his Tesla Cybertruck on a narrow, bad road.

In the video, he got stuck in a tight corner. Social media users reacted to the footage of his struggle. The CEO of the Despite Group managed to drive off with associates after getting unstuck.

This marked one of the car's recent public appearances. Dr. Despite had previously shown off the Cybertruck at an anniversary service in February 2025.

He made headlines when he bought the vehicle in October 2024. Dr. Despite became the first Ghanaian owner of this luxury model. He unveiled it at a funeral for Kofi Amoa-Abban’s mother.

The Tesla Cybertruck's price ranged from $81,895 to $101,985 at that time. It is speculated that Dr. Despite's vehicle fell within this range.

When he drove through town, crowds gathered to see it. His long-time friend, Ernest Ofori Sarpong, was behind the wheel during one outing.

In another incident, MTTU officials pulled him over while driving in Accra. Social media comments about his driving included jokes and remarks about Tesla’s technology.
