Empress Gifty’s Daughter Cries During Her Performance at School Thanksgiving
Ghanaian gospel singer Empress Gifty performed at her daughter's school Thanksgiving service.
Her daughter became emotional and cried while watching her mother sing.
Social media users shared their thoughts on the touching moment.
Empress Gifty's daughter attends Tema Parents Association, a well-known basic school in Tema.
In an Instagram video, she joined final year students for the Thanksgiving service.
These students will soon take the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).
As Empress Gifty sang, her daughter wiped away tears.
She signaled for her daughter to join her on stage.
The girl got up from the front row and hugged her mother.
While singing, she looked up and sang along with Empress Gifty.
Eventually, she returned to her seat after letting go of her mother.
Former students noted that this annual Thanksgiving service celebrates God’s goodness.
It occurs just before final year students sit for their BECE exams.
One of Empress Gifty's daughters is among these form three students.
The celebrated singer performed some of her songs and those by other gospel artists.
Empress Gifty wore a white top and trousers to match the students' attire.
She complemented her look with a black inner shirt, pink shoes, and a bag.
Her daughter wore an all-white dress with elbow-length sleeves, like the other students.
Many Ghanaians reacted emotionally to the video shared on Instagram by @nations_blogger.
