Hopeson Adorye Responds to Agradaa's Husband After Viral Video

Hopeson Adorye has responded to Angel Asiamah, Nana Agradaa's husband. This comes after a viral video showed Asiamah praising Mama Pat.

In a Facebook post, Adorye highlighted his wife Empress Gifty's achievements. He aimed to counter Asiamah’s comments about Agradaa. Ghanaians reacted with mixed feelings about the ongoing feud.

Adorye praised Empress Gifty as a woman of substance. He mentioned her qualifications and accomplishments in his post.

“She is a gospel musician and the TGMA 2025 Traditional Gospel Song winner,” he wrote. “She hosts United TV Showbiz and U-Cook, and she is an entrepreneur.”

Asiamah had praised Agradaa during a church sermon on June 1, 2025. He called her beautiful, eloquent, and strong before she preached.

His remarks were seen as an attack on Empress Gifty, prompting Adorye’s response.

The conflict began after Hopeson Adorye criticized Agradaa over the Sammy Gyamfi dollar scandal. He urged NDC supporters to confront her during an appearance on TV XYZ.

Agradaa retaliated by accusing Empress Gifty of infidelity, leading to a defamation lawsuit worth Gh₵ 20 million.

Nana Agradaa also reported Hopeson Adorye to the Police CID for incitement threats against her. She requested prosecution based on his inflammatory comments.

Her petition noted that such words could lead to violence, similar to past incidents involving journalist Ahmed Suale.
