John Mahama Attends Black Star Experience Launch in Accra

On May 1, 2025, President John Mahama attended the national launch of the Black Star Experience. He was accompanied by his children, Farida and Shahid Mahama. The event took place at the Freedom and Justice Monument in Accra.

Many notable Ghanaian personalities were present. Kumawood actors like Michael Afranie, Abrobe, Adanko, Nana Yeboah, and Kala Kumasi attended. Other attendees included Abeiku Santana from the Ghana Tourism Authority and Minister Abla Dzifa Gomashie.

President Mahama arrived in a bulletproof Toyota Land Cruiser LC300 Extreme Edition. This vehicle was a gift from his brother, Ibrahim Mahama. Upon arrival, he asked his children to sit behind him.

The event began with the Ghanaian National Anthem. Later, Farida and Shahid enjoyed Nacee's live performance. They were seen chatting excitedly during the show.

This appearance marked one of President Mahama's first public events since winning the 2024 elections. He has often shown a close bond with his children at public events.

Previously, they were spotted at the Independence Anniversary parade on March 6, 2025. The family also shared moments during a recent Presidential Dinner.

The Black Stars Experience aims to boost tourism and culture in Ghana. It seeks to redefine Ghanaian identity and attract investments while creating jobs.
