Patapaa Performs at Kwaw Kese’s Mother’s Funeral, Ghanaians React
Patapaa attended Kwaw Kese's mother, Madam Yaa Serwaa's funeral on May 31, 2025. He performed to entertain the mourners during the service. His performance sparked mixed reactions from Ghanaians. Many referenced Sarkodie's past comments about Patapaa.
The popular musician, Justice Amoa (Patapaa), drew attention with his performance. He wore an all-black outfit and entertained attendees in Agona Swedru, Central Region of Ghana. Videos showed him performing hit songs like "One Corner" while dancing energetically.
Footage of his performance led to discussions online. Many highlighted Sarkodie’s remarks from 2018 about Patapaa. In a rap line on Ypee's song, Sarkodie suggested Patapaa would perform at his own funeral if he hadn’t found success.
At that time, Patapaa took no offense and felt honored by the mention. He believed it indicated a bright future for him in music. However, in a 2021 interview, he expressed discomfort with Sarkodie's words.
He claimed Sarkodie's verse was disrespectful and hurtful. Patapaa felt it opened doors for others to mock him as well. Since then, he has continued to criticize Sarkodie and his wife despite suggestions that the comment was metaphorical.
Social media users reacted to Patapaa's funeral performance with various comments. CrissWaddle noted that "King Sark's prophecy has manifested." Others echoed similar sentiments about Sarkodie being prophetic or suggested Patapaa should apologize.
In related news, Patapaa's estranged wife confirmed their divorce recently. Liha Miller stated that a Ghanaian judge officially dissolved their marriage after years of separation.
